Donald Oliver Webb. 71, of Laughlin, NV – Janesville WI died at his Janesville home on Monday, April 14, 2014 after a brief battle with cancer. Don was born in Janesville, WI on November 6, 1942 the son of Oliver and Edna (Shwery) Webb. Don graduated from Janesville High School in 1961 and began his career in home building and construction, rentals and land development with his uncle, Arthur Shwery. Don and his brother, Phillip Webb built many residential homes and continued their building projects in Minocqua, WI constructing resort cabins at Webb’s Northern Resort until 2001.
Don married Ruth Reece on February 27, 1965 and enjoyed traveling the U. S. & Europe prior to moving to Laughlin, NV in 2005. Don was an avid downhill skier and was Past President of the Madison Ski Club. Declining health caused Don to return to Janesville in 2013. He was a long-time member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Surviving are Don’s wife, Ruth, brother Sidney (Bonnie) Webb of Green Bay, WI, sister, Suzanne Schaitel of Elk River, MN, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Oliver Webb and brother, Phillip in 2008.
Funeral services will be at Trinity Episcopal Church on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. with The Rev. Robert Lebron officiating. Visitation will be at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville from 4 to 6 p. m, Sunday, April 20, 2014.  Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. It is requested that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Agrace Hospice or Trinity Episcopal Church.
